Create REVISION AIDS:- Quote KEYRINGS / CARDS- QUOTE POWERPOINTS- Create displays at home to help them revise /
remember the plot / characters / key events / key quotes / themes (post-its are very helpful).
- Create podcasts
Help them memorise QUOTES/ TEST THEM memory of events / plot etc.

TO UNDERSTAND DIFFICULT VOCABULARY AND UNDERSTANDS THE 1800s – the Victorian era. Read old letters, diaries (see ‘Letters of
Note’ blog’) Help your child understand events of
Victorian Britain – look them up together on line.
Read history text books / encyclopaedias; help them point out similarities and differences in texts.
You could: visit museums, National Trust properties etc.KEY FOCUS
MAKE SURE YOUR CHILD HAS A POINT OFVIEW! Discuss world issues –what do they think
about what is going on in the news? Play devil’s advocate with them: what would you say to someone who thinks the opposite.
Show them ‘real life’ articles either paper based or online newspapers and magazines Talk about them. Watch relevant documentaries.
