AREA FORUM Q35

Approx. 500 MBOE will be matured for possible development.

Processing capacities are coming available in the area as production declines.

Near-term appraisal and exploration could substantially change the picture.

Fragmented ownership structure and multiple operators.

There are many decisions which are going to be made in the next 2-3 years.

E&P

AREA FORUM Q35 – GJØA VISIT

E&P

HOW HAS THE FORUM WORKED?

The five area operators of discoveries were invited to the forum in May 2012: GDF SUEZ : Gjøa Statoil: Astero, Aurora, Vega,

Peon, Fram Wintershall: Grosbeak, Skarfjell RWE Dea: Titan ENI: Afrodite

Operators agreed on a Forum Charter in October 2012 Achieved alignment on purpose, approach

and a road map. Chair rotates each year through the

operators. GDF SUEZ acted as Chair from May 2012 to

October 2013 when Statoil took over.

The forum has had a high activity level Shared basic high level data and perspectives

(Phase 1). Gained insight to possible area solutions and

worked critical issues (Phase 2).

E&P

THE FORUM AIMS TO PROVIDE EARLY AREA INSIGHTS

The forum aims to:

Increase the chance that individual developments & fields reap the benefits from possible area synergies and do not get into a position of regret.

Look at extreme cases to understand what drives the value.

Develop area insights but not draw conclusions.

Help license decision making but not be involved in any decisions.
