CNC Axes Descriptions

■ LGA-3020 In an effort to further improve the LGA design, Luren has enhanced its mechanical analysis software and made machine structural improvements to further increase machine functionality and stability.

■ LGA-3020 is equipped with the most advanced SIEMENS CNC controller available and the high precision electronic gear box module supplied by Siemens. Also integrated in the machine are an 10-axis close-loop servo control system and a direct drive motor such that all axes move simultaneously and very accurately.

■ LUREN's intelligent gear grinding software is a Windows-based interface which has been carefully designed to support the complete grinding process. The operator does not need comprehensive CNC training to operate the LGA-3020 since Luren's grinding software interfaces with the Siemens CNC controller to calculate all the necessary data to complete the CNC program.

Dressing DeviceEquipped with a single diamond profile Rotary dresser, the dressing device is suitable for multi-threads which can increase accuracy of the profile, decrease dressing time and improve production efficiency and productivity.

Workpiece Spindle & Grinding SpindleLGA-3020 is equipped with high speed spindles. The speed of grinding wheel spindle can reach up to 80M/sec. Together they work in concert to increase gear production efficiency and accuracy. Meanwhile, the built-in automatic dynamic balancing system acts to reduce deviation caused by dressing or grinding.

Windows-based Operating SystemLuren's generating grinding software includes gear data input, tooth flank modification, tool setting, corrections, and machining process editing. Each of these categories offers interactive dialogues and error feedback for program assistance. The operator can easily add the necessary gear data and the grinding requirements to visually see the grinding program created. Develop the software under the Microsoft Windows-based environment, unrestricted by the CNC controller supplied operation panel, Luren offers you more abundant and efficient human-computer interface. After completing the required information in the Luren software all of the NC process steps will be generated automatically. This allows operators to run the machine with little to no CNC experience, an amazing benefit for such an advanced machine.

Tooth Flank ModificationThe tooth flank modification module provides a convenient way to adjust the gear flank curve by using the mouse on the curve itself or to input the new value in its designated field. This allows for quick and easy modifications within Luren's software.

Machining ProcessMachining process module allows operators arrange actual work schedule easily by clicking and dragging the items that the operator is looking to change. This final grinding plan can also be saved for future use.

Tool SettingThe tools setting module covers all machining tools such as grinding worm, rotary dresser, etc. To complete this step the operator only needs to input the tool data and store the data. This is a very convenient way to avoid tooling management mistakes that can contribute to machine down time.

CorrectionsThe corrections module can effectively eliminate installation errors due to operator error in the set-up of workpiece, grinding wheel or worm wheel. The operator can enter the grinding correction value obtained from the on-board measurement system to produce a high quality finely ground gear.
