What are Onsite Events?
1Note: P&C reps usually attend benefit fairs and ongoing visits, and do not usually attend General meetings. P&C reps are not authorized to represent other products onsite.

Events scheduled mid-year and/or during enrollment period and an opportunity for the employer group to promote the benefit offerings to employees
P&C Agent has established a relationship with HR and has secured off cycle scheduled visits
Usually multiproduct focused and requested by the account and account executive to answer any questions after the benefit overview meeting has been completed

Local support Product expertise Insurance knowledge
Convenient purchase options
Access to reputable local licensed P&C professionals for sales and service related inquiries
Agents are local experts in discount offerings, package policies and various MetLife Products (i.e. Life, Legal, Pet)
Agents can offer educational workshops and seminars onsite, (i.e. Common Coverage Gaps In Insurance, Benefits of Auto and Home Insurance, Auto and Home Safety, etc.)
Offer employee convenience and choice in how to purchase auto and home insurance (call center, agent, or online)

Helpful Tips for a Successful Benefit Season!
Prepare for the event
Use this Benefit Fair checklist to organize your ‘to-do’ list
Review the “Request For Service” Email with event details, products represented.
2-3 weeks prior to event• Call or Email HR to introduce
yourself, confirm date/time giveaways/print have arrived
• Confirm attire, parking, security check in at site, event location with HR
Order a MetLife Tablecloth , Order Name Tag, print lead cards/sheets/fact finders, business cards, and customized brochures
Look up account details in GIST, Account Code, Payroll available, discounts, MetGA approved
Review Group Lunch and Learn presentations to familiarize with benefits available
2-3 days prior- pack all your supplies
Discuss incoming volume of leads with PMA
During the event
Arrive 45-60 minutes prior to start to park, check in with security, allow for set-up
Introduce yourself to Benefit Counselor for other products and HR
Set Up table with brochures, giveaways, raffle item (if requested), lead sheet
Put away all electronics
Offer extra giveaways to HR, if not interested bring back to your agency for future events
Be the last to leave! Say thank you, offer HR help breaking down
Put your best foot forward and always remain professional!
After the Event
Plan to follow-up on leads within 24-48 hours
Plan to contact the account HR/Benefits Manager within 1-2 weeks of your visit and ask about future opportunities to return to site on a more frequent basis. (We will be sending a post-event survey to the HR/Benefit Manager to solicit feedback.)
If you secure on-going visits, please inform your RSM for proper tracking. The RSM will then notify the Group Product Specialist.
