Company Overview

A TRADITION OF LEADERSHIP

Graham’s commitment to leadership and its heritage ofunmatched engineering excellence have consistentlydelivered superior technologyand process innovation to the blow molding industry. The Graham Wheel, for example, literally redefinedthe standard for high speed production of packages forhousehold and industrialchemicals, automotive lubricants, food and beverage, personal care, and other markets. Graham has contin-ued to lead with enablingtechnology for converting anumber of other industries toplastic containers.

Leadership is our heritage. It’s built on a tradition ofexcellence.

Graham is building on this leadership foundation through development of thenext generation of blow molding technologies in areassuch as rotary wheels, reciprocating screw and shotpot machinery, shuttle technology, and accumulatorhead equipment. Additionally,Graham is committed toexpand complementing technologies through internaldevelopments and strategicpartnerships.

GRAHAM ROTARYWHEEL BLOW MOLDING SYSTEMS

Worldwide, only one name is

synonymous with the mass

production of superior quality

plastic bottles on rotary blow

molding machinery. That

name is Graham Engineering

Corporation.

Our rotary wheel blow molding systems are theresult of advanced technology developed and refined onhundreds of wheel systemsinstalled since 1968 on fourcontinents. Graham rotarymachines process virtuallyany thermoplastic to produce

containers from 80 ml up to30 liters. Our equipment conforms to all national andinternational safety and operating standards withANSI certification and CEcapability.

Graham wheel machines offermaximum flexibility for the delivery of ideal packaging solutions. • Continuously operating,

fully mechanically drivenmachines

• Single and multi-cavitymolds

• Monolayer structures andcoextrusion up to seven layers

• In-mold labeling• View stripe enhancements

The MINI™ Wheel is Graham’sbreakthrough for mid-sizedblow molders and emergingmarkets. It is small enough to ship in a standard freightcontainer, but can producecoextruded plastic containers(up to seven layers), of exceptional repeatable quality, lower volume versusshuttle. These advantagesinclude lightweighting, energy efficiency, and material savings.

GRAHAM LINEAR SHUTTLE BLOW MOLDING SYSTEMS

Versatility and generous daylight and clamp tonnageenables the efficient production of large containers,as well as personal care andother smaller bottles.

Even when running largercontainers, SBG shuttles areextremely fast. For small bottles, the operator can minimize clamp openingstroke using the standardclamp proportional hydrauliccontrol. Other standard features include:

• Double station horizontalclamp transfer on linearrails

• Bottle takeout by dual axisservo-driven pick-and-place system (bottles ofvarying heights can beplaced on same conveyor)

• Proportional hydraulics forall machine movements

• Machine mounted hydraulicde-flash system

• Extruder base with motorized platform, stairs, and handrails

• Graham’s XBM Navigator™

PC blow molding controllerfeaturing 100-point parisonprogramming

• Front adjust blowpins

THE LEADER IN MACHINERY FORPOLYCARBONATEWATER BOTTLES

Graham EngineeringCorporation is the industryleader in extrusion blowmolding machinery for producing polycarbonatewater bottles, with or withouthandles. Based on nearlythree decades of technologi-cal innovation, Grahammachinery has evolved intohighly productive manufacturing cells.

SUPERIOR QUALITY IN THE PRODUCTIONOF DAIRY, JUICE, AND INDUSTRIALCONTAINERS

For years, reciprocating screw machines have been used forproducing lightweight dairy, juice, water, and householdchemical containers. We havetaken this time honored con-cept in extrusion blow moldingand made it even better. Our next-generation shot-potmachines retain the advantages of this core tech-nology, while implementingseveral key improvements to provide unmatched efficiency, reliability, and cost performance. Now Grahamoffers reciprocating screw andshot pot machines that arecreating new production standards in the industry. • Specially designed

manifold and heads withstreamlined flow passages

• Cylinder actuated toggle • Trimming systems• Two-stage parison delivery

system—features a first-in,first-out shot pot system

• Greater parison control andthe elimination of shot-sizerestraints for unsurpassedproductivity and efficiency

• Complete in-line transfer, trimmers, cooling beds andadditional downstream equipment to guarantee synchronized, cost effectiveproduction cells

• Minimized maintenance and maximized uptime performance.

This enhanced line of machinery is produced andserviced by industry veteranswith the full backing andlong-term commitment ofGraham resources.

Using reciprocating screwextruder designs, thesemachines produce exception-ally high quality bottles athigh throughput rates. Thismachinery is supported withmolds as well as trimming.

Everything needed for a successful bottle productionline is available globally, andon a 24-hour basis — fromdesign assistance, to installa-tion and testing, to totalafter-sale support, includingspare parts, field service, andprocessing assistance.

GRAHAM ACCUMULATOR HEADBLOW MOLDING SYSTEMS

Graham accumulator headmachinery represents the culmination of 50 years oftechnological innovation forproducing high quality, smallto large scale blow moldedparts. Offering shot capacitiesof one to 50 pounds, our accumulator head technologydelivers the quality, speed, flexibility, and reliability yourequire for maximizing the output of your productionlines. Our equipment conforms to all internationalsafety and operating standards including OSHA and CE certifications.

Graham accumulator headblow molding machines aredesigned for the production of a wide range of industrialand technical parts.

Graham heads are known forfast color changeability. Thanks to the design of ourspiral flow diverters, mostcolor changes can occur withonly 30-90 minutes of purging.

INDUSTRIALSHOT POT MACHINERY

Graham shot pot industrialmachines collect melt in a separate shot pot that holds upto 18.7 liters or over 30 poundsof resin. The melt is fed to individually programmableextrusion heads (up to five).

Precision flow control ensuresaccurate blowing of high volume industrial and technical parts, including garden sprayers, small tighthead containers, chemicalcontainers, automotive parts, and toys.

Graham diverters can be pulled outof the head using system hydraulics, allowing a full mechanical cleaningin less than one hour.
