Introduction This publication correlates the LiteracyLink® GED Connection video and DVD programs and the GED Connection workbooks to Level D: Tests 1-4 of Forms 9 and 10 of the Tests of Adult Basic Education (TABE).

Using the Correlations Instructors can use the information in the correlation charts to identify skill objectives common to both the TABE and the GED for which students need more work. They can then assign corresponding video programs and workbook pages for student study.

Video and DVD Programs In the Video Program column, the name and number of each GED Connection program is listed. The titles and program numbers are identified on page 4 of this correlation.

• The program number refers to the video formats of the programs only. For example, R 13 Fiction refers to the Reading Fiction program – which is videotape program #13. (Note: DVD disks use program titles only; programs are not numbered.)

• The DVD programs have clickable menus. In the example below, R 13 Fiction Scene: Mood and tone refers to a scene that can be accessed through the DVD clickable menu. (Note: These scenes are available only on the DVD editions, not the videotape editions, of the programs). An example of the DVD menus is on page 3 of this correlation.

Workbooks In the Workbook column, there are ID’s for each of the GED Connection Workbooks, the name of the chapter, and the appropriate page numbers for the corresponding TABE sub skill. The IDs and corresponding titles of the workbooks are listed on page 4 of this correlation.
