This initiative will tie existing systems, data sets and feeds together into one useful and
accessible tool.
It will not be a re-invention of the wheel!

Threat is analyzed and reported to necessary entities across Georgia per pre-designated
report by exception protocols.
Eventually this information will be available to share regionally.

• Plug in the expertise of the Georgia GIS Coordinating Committee (GISCC) and the agencies represented within
• Establish data sharing agreements (public and private partners)• Assemble work groups by ESF / Discipline to advise GEMA / Contractors on what
additional information would enhance situational awareness (DATA CALL)• Identify sources of GIS Support for the State Operations Center during disasters• GEMA will be hiring a coordinator/GIS Planner for this system in the next 30 – 90
days• GEMA will become a more active and consistent member of the GISCC• What can GEMA do to assist the GIS Community through this project?
