To approve order approving and filing the appointment of John Cantwell as DallasCounty's Purchasing Director for a term of two (2) years beginning April 3, 2000,with compensation and relocation benefits as described in the Order approved bythe County Purchasing Director Board.

To approve order adopting procedures to be followed by all selection committeesfor a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the purchase of insurance, high technologyitems, and special services issued under Local Government Code 262.030,authorizing said procedures to be incorporated into the Dallas County Policies andProcedures Manual, and directing that no RFP for any goods or services shall bedistributed without prior approval of the Commissioners Court.

To approve order granting the FBI access to the mainframe system for thepurpose of obtaining information regarding background checks for handgunpurchases under the Brady Law, and authorizing the normal fees associated withthis service to be waived.

To approve order approving an amendment to the Food Establishment Inspectionand Environmental Health Services agreement with the City of Rowlett, asoutlined, and authorizing the County Judge to sign said agreement on behalf ofDallas County.

To approve order approving an amendment to Attachment #13A (Regional/LocalHealth Operations) of the contract with the Texas Department of Health (TDHDocument No. 7560009056 2000) to add funds in the categories of personnel($32,592) and fringe benefits ($6,838) for a new Microbiologist position in theLaboratory Division.

To approve order approving the reallocation of FY 1999-2000 Ryan White TitleI and FY 1998-1999 Ryan White Title I carry-over funds to listed serviceproviders, and authorizing the County Judge to sign the contract amendments onbehalf of Dallas County.

To approve order authorizing the County Judge to execute Change Order No.1to the contract with Interstate Commercial Construction Company, Inc., therebyreducing the total contract amount by $20,000.00 to $419,000.00, andauthorizing final payment in the amount of $73,428.00 to said company for theconstruction of the Dallas Visitors Center in the Old Red Courthouse.

To approve order authorizing final payment in the amount of $8,379.21 to AshlarContracting Company for the construction of the Community Development BlockGrant (CDBG) Public Works project, Wilmer - Kissell Street Bridge Replacement,authorizing the remaining balance of $18,191.30 to be used for future City ofWilmer eligible CDBG projects, and acceptance of the project as complete.
