SEXISM / SEXISMO

• Sexism: unfair treatment of people because of their sex; prejudice or discrimination based on sex; behavior, conditions, or attitudes that foster stereotypes of social roles based on sex.

• Gender inequality refers to unequal treatment or perceptions of individuals based on their gender.

• There are natural differences between the sexes based on biological and anatomic factors, most notably differing reproductive roles. Biological differences include chromosomes, brain structure, and hormonal differences.

rights increase their vulnerability to violence. In many countries in the region, no specific laws or provisions exist to penalize domestic violence, even though domestic violence is a widespread problem.
