Joseph G. Christman EVP & Managing Director Joe G. Christman serves as executive vice president and managing

director of the firm’s Pittsburgh office.

He is also the leader of DHR’s Aerospace, Defense & Homeland Security Sector of the global Industrial

Practice.

Prior to joining DHR, he was a consultant at Korn/Ferry International. He entered the field of executive

search with LAI Worldwide. There he began to build his executive search practice in aerospace and

defense.

Before entering the executive search field, Lieutenant Commander Christman was a seasoned naval

aviator. During his years of active duty, he deployed aviation anti-submarine warfare helicopters (ASW)

aboard four different aircraft carriers in support of operations in the Eastern Mediterranean,

Northern/Western Pacific, North Arabian Sea and the Persian Gulf. With over 3,000 total flight hours and

four deployments, LCDR Mr. Christman retired from active duty in 1998.

Additionally, he attended courses offered by Navy Post Graduate School in Monterey, California, as well

as Senior Leadership, Functional Test Pilot and Aviation Maintenance Officer schools. He is a member of

the U.S. Navy League, a member of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association,

The Space Foundation, American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Naval Helicopter

Association, California Space Authority, The Retired Officers Association and Associat ion of Executive

Search Consultants.

Search EngagementTerms of Engagement ■ We accept retained search engagements on an exclusive basis. All candidates, regardless of source, whether internal or

external, will be included in the search process to ensure every candidate is assessed on a consistent and uniform basis. Our two-year guarantee applies to all candidates, regardless of source, whether internal or external.

■ The professional service fee for an executive search is one-third of the candidate’s expected total first year cash compensation, which includes base salary and a reasonable expectation of incentive compensation.

■ One-third of the estimated professional service fee is billed and is payable at initiation of each retained search. The remaining professional service fee is billed and is payable in 30 day installments.

■ Our monthly statements will include charges for search related expenses which include allocated support fees such as administrative, the DHR LSI® assessment tool, communications (voice and data), reproduction and report production, database management, and computer services, which historically have represented 12% of the applicable retainer. Candidate development expenses, consultant travel and sundry, and candidate travel and sundry are billable at cost.

■ We commit to the completion of every search in a timely fashion. The firm guarantees it will commit extensive resources to every search until client expectations are met and/or exceeded and the search is completed.

■ Should a candidate leave or be terminated within two years of the completion of the search, for any reason other than a change in structure or control, or other act rendering the position materially different from the role accepted, we will recruit another candidate for no additional professional service fee. Only expenses will be billed to the client.

■ If you cancel the search by written confirmation within 60 days, we will forward a final statement for our professional services prorated through the date you cancel, and for expenses related to the search.

■ Under our hands-off policy we will not recruit individuals from the client company for one year following completion of the assignment.

intelligent career decision. ■ Make a timely and competitive offer of employment following the final interviews.
