GENERAL NOTES

1. The guardrail end anchorage system represented on this drawing is a proprietary design by Trinity Highwayand marketed under the trade name TREND 350 Flared End Terminal. Any infringement on the rights ofthedesigner shall be the sole responsibility of the user.

2. This drawing is sufficient for plan details for the TREND 350 Flared End Terminal when installed in connection withshoulder guardrail and precludes the requirement for shop drawing submittals unless the plans otherwise call forsuch submittals. The TREND 350 Flared End Terminal shall be assembled in accordance with the manufacturer'sdetailed drawings, procedures and specifications.

3. The TREND 350 Flared End Terminal is a steel post configuration. Post No.1 is a special 2-partyielding post; Post No.2 is a special 1-part yielding post; Post Nos. 3 thru 6 are standard steel posts.

4. The TREND 350 Flared End Terminal is intended for use as an approach end guardrail anchorage for shoulderguardrail. The beginning length of need point is located at Post 3 (see drawing). The effective length of the TREND350 Flared End Terminal is 37'-6". The TREND 350 Flared End Terminal may be installed as a flared endtreatment.

The alignment of the TREND 350 Flared End Terminal is a straight flare with an upstream offset from 0' to 4'(standard offset of 4' should be used whenever possible).

5. For galvanizing requirements of metallic components, see Standard Specification Section 967.

6. For detail of shoulder widening, miscellaneous asphalt pavement and pay limits, see Index 400.

7. The TREND 350 Flared End Terminal shall be paid for under the contract unit price for Guardrail, End AnchorageAssembly, EA and shall be full compensation for furnishing and installing all components in accordancewith the plans; the manufacturer's detail drawings, procedures and specifications and this drawing.
