You will be responsible for contributing to the overall leadership, inspiration and unity of the team. Working with the General Team Management (GTM), the sport specific Team staff and athletes, you will have a role in creating and delivering a high performance environment at the Birmingham Games to inspire the team, act inclusively and enable the athletes to excel.

This will include preparing for the Games, with CGS staff, partners, Scottish governing bodies of sport (SGBs) and sportscotland from appointment in July 2020. You will liaise closely with all sport specific Team Managers. Experience of working at a multi-sport event will be required.

Applicants should have at least five years’ experience of working at a Multi-sport Games and be able to show a track record of management and Team preparations. In addition to proven ability in a leadership role within a multi-disciplinary team, good time management and the ability to work for extended periods under pressure are required. Applicants should have a good working knowledge of the Scottish sporting landscape.

Our General Team Managers are characterised by a diversity of backgrounds in a variety of sectors and with different functional skills in their careers. A belief in sport and a desire to play a key role in a unique global event will be important to you.
