$ I would like to welcome you to the second Generations of Value sale hosted by the Georgia Simmental Association. There is no better time than now to be in the cattle business, whether your operation is big or small, purebred or commercial. The Georgia Simmental Association will be hosting this exciting Simmental event at Partisover sale facility in Colbert,Georgia. Randy, Beth and Dr. Dan always roll out the red carpet of hospitality in Colbert. On behalf of DP Sales Management, we appreciate the consignors that have stepped forward for the second annual Generations of Value sale. We have more lots in this years event plus we have more consignors participating in the sale. The sale offering will showcase some of the top genetics from breeders from Georgia and the Southeast. The offering includes fancy opens, breds, pairs, and a few select bulls. The genetic lots include donors that represent Georgia well and also genetics that are of national magnitude. Championship genetics that are from past Georgia state show champions and breed leaders representing SimAngus™ and the purebred sector. The state of Georgia is known to be filled with breeders with breed-changing genetics, producing individuals with substance and longevity. The market for cattle in Georgia is very diverse. • Here is a Georgia sale feature. We started showing several years ago however we had some of our best times in the ring with ButterBall. Butterball commanded attention in the show ring and did very well against many good females. We are proud of the accomplishments which were Champion at the Georgia Beef Futurity, Georgia National Fair, and the Georgia State heifer show. Also, she was other breeds point champion and Champion at the Alabama Classic. More importantly after her show career her calves have sold from $4,500 to $10,500 and they have won many championships as well.
