The starting dose should not be less than500 mg daily and may be varied stepwise within therange of 375 mg to 1000 mg daily, maintaining twicedaily administration for long term maintenance,depending on the requirements of the patient. Generic Aleve TabletsSide Effects of Generic AleveThe most common possible side effects ofGeneric Aleve tablets are abdominal discomfort,constipation, swelling, heartburn, stomachdiscomfort and indigestion, ringing in the ears,dizziness, nausea and headache, oedema,dyspnoea, itching (pruritis), skin eruption,ecchymoses, drowsiness, and labouredbreathing. Generic Aleve TabletsWarnings And PrecautionsCardiovascular Thrombotic Events: NSAIDs may beassociated with an increased risk of seriouscardiovascular events, including myocardial infarction andstroke, which may increase with dose or duration of use.Patients with cardiovascular disease or cardiovascular riskfactors may also be at greater risk.Hypertension: NSAIDs may lead to onset of newhypertension or worsening of preexisting hypertension andpatients taking antihypertensives with NSAIDs may havean impaired antihypertensive response. Caution is advisedwhen prescribing NSAIDs to patients with hypertension.Blood pressure should be monitored closely duringinitiation of NSAID treatment and at regular intervalsthereafter. Generic Aleve TabletsOverdose SymptomsSignificant overdose of Generic Aleve(Naproxen Sodium) may be characterised bydizziness, drowsiness, epigastric pain,abdominal discomfort, indigestion, transientalterations in liver function,hypoprothrombinaemia, renal dysfunction,metabolic acidosis, apnoea, disorientation,nausea or vomiting. Generic Aleve TabletsOverdose SymptomsGastrointestinal bleeding may occur.Hypertension, acute renal failure, respiratorydepression and coma may occur after theingestion of NSAIDs, and may occur followingan overdose.Anaphylactoid reactions have been reportedwith therapeutic ingestion of NSAIDs, and mayoccur following an overdose.
