Innovation that never stopsAt Honeywell Cable, we know our customers demand innovation,
and they deserve it. This is what drives us to always work to make our products and services better. Our goal is clear: provide the most reliable
products, easiest installations and robust support.
Here are just some of the ways we’ve recently responded with new, innovative technology:
Category Cable – Responding to greater bandwidth and security demands, we have rounded out our line of network
category cable to meet current and future technological requirements:
• Cat 6A – for maximum bandwidth capable of handling 10G and 7G-wireless demands.
• Cat 5e/6 Plus Shielded Options – for increasingly larger and more sensitive data applications.
• Cat 6 (Yellow) – for a wider range of applications.
HVAC Cable – When it comes to installing and connecting to HVAC systems, our cable is specifically engineered to handle
evolving technologies and deliver exactly what our customers need:
• Hybrid Thermostat – lighter weight cable is first designed specifically for power requirements of the circuit.
• Metal Clad Mini Split – sunlight-resistant and suitable for direct burial – install without conduit.
• Mini-Split 50' Convenience Packs – job-sized coils that simplify pricing, ordering and inventory.
Fire Cable – Designed for optimal safety and manufactured in a wide variety of gauge sizes, shielding configurations and
jacketing materials, including plenum, riser and general purpose:
• Striped Fire Wire – easy to identify different cables without marking or tracing in a bundle.
• Metal Clad Fire Wire (coming soon) - Dual-listed MC and FPL for NPLFA or PLFA fire alarm circuits – no need for conduit.
Audacious® Sound Cable – 12-gauge option for longer run that rounds out our line of high-quality audio cable – providing
optimal conductivity, signal integrity and ease of installation.
Access Control Cable – As building access and control systems become more intelligent, it’s vital that the cable connecting
them keep pace with technology. Our cable does just that:
• Profusion – cost-effective, revolutionary twisting scheme to hold pairs together without binding.
• Overall Jacket (OAJ) – easy to strip, snag-resistant, with countdown markings – for faster, hassle-free installations.
Packaging – Working with installers rather than against them, our innovative cable packaging addresses common
installation challenges, saving time, money and on-the-job headaches:
• REACT™ Packaging – delivers consistent tangle-free performance.
• Speed Bag® Packaging – save space, time and money, stacking multiple wires in a single bucket.
• SPEED BOX® Packaging – for smoother, faster installations, it comes in Pull Box or Reel-In-A-Box.

Innovations in PackagingREACT™ Packaging
This innovative cable packaging addresses common installation challenges,
working with installers rather than against them. With no adjustments, dials or
settings necessary, this is an ideal solution to the aggravating problem of
tangled cable.
The inertia brake design allows the cable to pull easily when you want it and stop
when you don’t. With its reinforced side-wall and payout opening design, it offers
superior crush resistance and stacking and handling performance. And with its
100% recyclable cardboard design, it is also extremely convenient to dispose of
on a job site.
Speed Bag® Packaging
Save space, time and money with Speed Bag, and get another innovative
packaging solution that works with you to make installations more efficient and
hassle-free. Speed Bag provides:
• Less packaging for easier storage and transportation
• A lighter weight design for reduced freight expenses
• Faster and easier pulls – saving time and headaches on the job
• Ability to stack multiple wire types in a single bucket – just pull the wire you need
• A plastic overwrap that reduces waste and is moisture resistant
SPEED BOX® Packaging
Engineered for smoother and faster installations, SPEED BOX is another packaging innovation that helps enable your
success every day. All boxes of Honeywell Cable, except REACT packaging, feature SPEED BOX – with two options to
deliver cable:
• Pull Box
• Reel-In-A-Box
Fewer tangles means:
• Less labor
• Less wasted cable
• Fewer on-the-job headaches
• A more productive crew

Striped Fire Wire: Simplifying InstallationsInnovation That Works with You
Easily differentiate between circuits with Honeywell’s striped fire alarm cables. Expedite installations, and eliminate the
hassle of marking and tracing cables in a bundle to identify the one you’re looking for. By assigning a different stripe color
to each type of circuit on the job site, you will be able to maximize field productivity and minimize time wasted due
to confusion.
The stripes on these cables are extruded into the cables’ jackets so they won’t rub off like printed ink stripes. Like all
Genesis® Series fire alarm cables, Honeywell’s striped fire alarm cables are UL listed and recommended for use in UL
Certified Fire Alarm Systems. Honeywell Cable proudly manufactures striped fire alarm cables in Pleasant Prairie, WI, USA!

As energy and security systems become
increasingly intelligent, quality cable becomes
an even more important factor.
Communication cables used to network
controlled circuits must be able to support
high-speed data transfer for long distances.
Because of this, it’s important to select the right
cables that have low capacitance and correctly
matched characteristic impedances.
Produced in our state-of-the-art facility,
Honeywell Cable also offers specialized IBS
control cables that meet the requirements for
Lutron® systems, BACnet and Echelon® LonWorks.

The NEC is a highly regarded handbook
resource and considered the most
comprehensive document on electrical
safety. The NEC was developed by a large
cross-section of representatives from the
electrical industry (electricians, engineers, code
enforcers, researchers, testers, insurers, etc.)
The NEC explains current code requirements
and discusses pertinent code changes.
Specific technical language is contained in the
handbook with complete information on:
• Code Requirements and Application
• Code Intent
• Code Restrictions
• Code Interpretations
In addition, historical trends are examined, and
tables and illustrations are provided. The NEC
is divided into sections containing articles on
specific electrical subject areas.
Community codes for installations are usually
based on information or requirements in the
NEC. For convenience, Honeywell’s Genesis®
Series Cable catalog has identified pertinent
NEC articles and scope of article for each cable
group as well as provided useful information to
help with ordering appropriate cable.

PULLING TENSIONS Under the stress of approximately 15,000 pounds per square inch, annealed copper will begin to permanently stretch. The
table below lists the absolute maximum recommended pulling tensions for conductor sizes. For multiple conductor cable,
multiply the appropriate value by the total number of conductors. These pulling tensions must be equally distributed among
the conductors.
THESE LIMITS MUST NEVER BE EXCEEDED EVEN MOMENTARILY. DO NOT JERK THE CABLE. The electronic
characteristics of a cable may change due to excessive tension and crushing.
