Title:Carly & Melissa Cook

Member(s):Carly Valencik and Melissa Cahue

Challenge:Our goal is to expand our taste in food and improve our cooking skills.

Learning:We expect to learn how to use different cooking technique and perfect our skills. We will be challenged because there will be new recipes that we do not know how to make. This will stretch our patience and skill as we are pushed to try new things and hope for the best.

Materials:Kitchen utensils, microwave, oven, stove, refrigerator, fruits, vegetables, miscellaneous food, spices, bowls, and plates. Melissa and I will switch off using each others kitchen and tools as the project progresses. I am not sure the price of all of these, but the food each time we make something can be estimated at about $20 for each recipe.

Main Steps:Outline the main steps to complete your project or provide a link to another site that has the steps. Below the link explain additional steps you need to complete. How will you document your process/progress beyond your blog or journal entries? If this is not an individual project, how will you work together so that all are learning/working equal to their abilities? Roles? Accountability?

Time:About 5-6 months.

Resources:Resources we can use to find recipes are magazines, a cook book, or online recipes. At this moment I dont know any specific outside experts, but we may use Melissas mother as help. Examples: http://allrecipes.tumblr.com/ ; http://www.food-gifs.com/#

Difficulties:What parts of this project might be difficult? How do you expect to handle them?

Sharing/ Audience:I will share this experience through a blog with people are who interested in food and cooking.

Evaluation:We could define our success based on how man followers or reblogs and likes our posts receive on Tumblr. We could also define our success based on how well we thought the food tasted. How should we evaluate your success? How will that be "visible" to others? Can your progress be measured throughout the project?(Look at theThinkering Studio Rubricfor some ideas or possiblyRubistar)Eventually you will design your own rubric.
