Themes

• Typical genre themes such as sex. violence and toilet humourare present which is quite typical of the Adult Comedy genre. Themes such as violence and sexually explicit themes are done in a comedic way. So little offence can be caused which is typical for this target audience. Because of the comedic and satiric nature of the program means the show is also appealing and suitable to the older teenage audience The show is set apart by its setting

in ancient Rome which allows for

more historical contextual themes

which cannot be seen as typical in

the genre because of the unusual

context the program is set in

Target Audience of programme

• Because of the Adult humourthat is used throughout, including sexual scenes, explicit language moderate violence and reference to drug use. But all are done in a comical moderate way. The target audience would be predominantly roughly 15-35 target audience. The programme is aired at 10pm after the watershed.
