“The Snowbee Geo proved to be a very versatile tarpon rod. I needed a single rod that would cast a floater with smaller flies accurately under the mangroves for baby tarpon up to 15lb. As soon as you hook these fish you need to apply maximum pressure to keep them out the mangrove roots. The same rod would need to be able to punch a sink tip with heavy 2/0 flies at distance in open water for fish up to 80lb. When you hook a big fish then the fun starts! My 55lb fish was subdued in just under 20 minutes with only a 20lb class leader. The 9ft #10 Geo is the perfect heavy duty rod for tarpon, jacks etc. I don’t want the expense and extra weight of taking a spare rod on a fishing trip and need a high performance rod that won’t shatter under pressure. This rod passed with flying colours!”
