What is Geocaching?

“Geocaching is a high-tech treasure hunting game played throughout the

world by adventure seekers equipped with GPS devices. The basic idea is

to locate hidden containers, called geocaches, outdoors and then share

your experiences online. Geocaching is enjoyed by people from all age

groups, with a strong sense of community and support for the environ-

ment.” http://www.geocaching.com

What do I do when I find one?

If you take something from the geocache, leave something of equal or greater value.

Write about your experience in the geocache logbook.

Place your geocaching stories and photos online. http://www.geocaching.com

What is Cache In Trash Out?

“Cache In Trash Out is an ongoing environmental initiative supported by the worldwide geocaching community. Since 2002, geocachers have been dedicated to cleaning up parks and other cache-friendly places around the world. Through these volunteer efforts, we help preserve the natural beauty of our outdoor resources!” http://www.geocaching.com/cito
