Summary on cameras
Basic kit
• Canon camera • Tape - label it properly• Tripod - plate stays with tripod• Camera kit - mic, headphones, light• Cables
Basic terms
• Pan - left to right• Tilt - up and down• Zoom - tightening/ loosening the shot
• MiniDV tape - small format digital tape• Firewire - camera to computer connection
Basic filming points
• Use the tripod for steady shots• Take still shots - don’t move on everything• Zoom - slowly, both in and out• Remember sound• Handles on shots, esp. ending• Check that you are recording
