A key learning concept for Geography 1000 is that the world is always changing.

A recent Geography student announced that a landslide had occurred near the State Capitol building. I was excited!
Then he sent me this picture.
Hmm.
Well, it does tell the story in a small way.

This is my neighborhood. In 2011, heavy rainfall put so much water in storm drains that the pipes blew up the
street pavement. Dry country often has the worst flooding.
