    The m ain sources of data for the Structural and Tectonic M aps were: the 1 250 000 and 1:1 000 000 series of geological maps covering Su ma trapub l ished by the Geolog ica l Research and Deve lopm ent Cen t re and the Tec ton ic M ap of Nor thern Sum atra (1 : 1 500 000) by Aspden e t a l .(1982a) for folds, faults and li thological boundaries in the solid geology.
