One of the most important features of the GeoRes Subsea System is it’s ability to be REMOTELY OPERATED. The GeoRes SubSea System including high capacity RAID servers, power supply monitors and network controllable power strips may be securely and fully controlled remotely over Ethernet connection. This means that the system can be configured, tested, maintained, upgraded and operated completely unmanned. Diagrammed is a basic offshore—customer office—GERI support center operate in Houston.

The GeoRes SubSea System is an advanced multi-component ocean bottom seismic recording system featuring scalable system architecture enabling ten of thousands of channel-count recording capability. The system may be configured for permanent reservoir monitoring or retrievable acquisition setting new standards for subsea reservoir characterization and exploration.
Permanent Reservoir Monitoring SubSea System Field proven permanently installed system for recording
ten of thousands of 4-component seismic channels in
water depths up to 2500 meters.
Deepwater Armored Retrievable SubSea System Field proven retrievable armored subsea system for
multi-component recording in deep water.
Shallow Water Un-armored Retrievable SubSea System Field proven retrievable system for multi-component
seismic recording in shallow water.
The GeoRes SubSea System is designed for superior in-water reliability and performance. The 4-component sensors are digitized and sealed in modules then molded in long cable lengths, forming “connector-less” subsea sensor array cables. The sensor array cables are manufactured in various length depending on specified application. The system delivers continuous recording in real time and may be configured for unmanned operation.

Flexible In-water System Configurability The GeoRes Shallow Water System may be configured for permanent or retrievable deepwater or shallow water depending on application
“PITCH” (Inline) “ROLL” (Xline)
Built-in “Pitch and Roll” Inclinometer The GeoRes SubSea 4C digitized sensor module has a built-in inclinometer that measures the vertical orientation of the three (3)-axis orthogonal OMNI Geophones. The subsea module measures the inclination (“pitch”) of the in-line OMNI geophone and (“roll”) of the cross-line OMNI geophones thus eliminating the need for expensive gimbal assemblies.
Continuous Sensor Array Receiver Cables
The subsea sensor array cable is designed specifically to maximize the reliability of the in-water equipment. The subsea cables array segments are manufactured in “customer-specified” lengths depending on handling equipment and deck storage considerations. 4-component digitized sensors are assembled in pressure modules containing power supplies, digitization and telemetry electronics then packaged in a robust hermetically sealed pressure cylinder which is over molded to the cable to form continuous “connector-less” sensor/receiver seabed cables.
The digitized 4C sensor module consists of a 4-channel 24-Bit digitizer, 3 orthogonal OMNI geophones and a DEEPENDER hydrophone. The proprietary electronics and sensors are packaged in a hermetically-sealed pressure housing. The sensor modules are assembled at selected intervals forming continuous subsea sensor array receiver cables. The module and cables feature bi-directional power and telemetry allowing flexible in-water system configurability.
OMNI-DIRECTIONAL GEOPHONE
The OMNI Series geophone provides a unique on axis sensitivity regardless of tilt angle in space. Each OMNI element have the same specifications of sensitivity, impedance, phase, frequency response, and harmonic distortion providing an ideal vector fidelity response. The mathematical precision of the resulting measurements significantly improves the discrimination of plane wave measurements at the detector.
GeoRes Imagine HC The GeoRes Imagine HC (High Capacity) recording system forms the “onboard” central operator control. The system provides the user interface for recording, display, in-water equipment management, complete instrument and sensor testing, power management, selectable multi-path data storage, networking and plotting
DEEPENDER HYDROPHONE
The DEEPENDER hydrophone is a cylindrical piezoelectric crystal uniquely molded inside the housing of the digitized sensor module. The DEEPENDER hydrophone operates to 3,500 meter water depths with less than 1.5 dB sensitivity change.
High capacity fiber optic data transmission provides continuous, real-time acquisition of very large channel-counts over very long distances. This is particularly impor-tant for deep water reservoir monitoring systems adding a new dimension to real-time, high capacity recording from long distances.
