George Washington Carver George Washington Carver was an African American scientist, inventor, and a biologist. He had a difficult life as a kid. He was very successful at the Tuskegee Institute and he accomplished a lot in his life. Early Life George had a difficult childhood life. He was born in Missouri in 1864 to Mary and Giles, an enslaved couple owned by Moses Carver. A week after birth George with his mom and sister where kidnaped and brought to Kentucky where an agent of Moses Caver found them and brought them back to Missouri. In 1865 the Civil War ended. Moses and Susan his wife kept George and taught him how to read and write since no schools would except him because he was African American. George spent his free time exploring plants on the farm.

Adult Life As a adult George got into and later taught at Tuskegee Institute! Tuskegee was one of the best colleges that was available. He worked with Booker T Washington at Tuskegee. There he discovered 300 uses for the peanut and 100 for the sweet potato! Once he declined a chance to work with Tomas Edison because he thought he would do better at Tuskegee! He also helped southern African Americans with farming. He told them when to plant crops and where crops do better. He on Died Jan 5 1943.

AchievementsGeorge Washington Carver had many achievements. At Tuskegee he discovered many ways to help plants grow better. He found out that if you rotate crops it helps them grow faster. He also researched cash crops and found a way that would make them produce more Wheat, barley, and rice at one time. He found out how to make a fuel out of soybeans. In conclusion, George Washington Carver Accomplished a lot, was a successful Adult, and had a difficult childhood.
