Be welcomed by GAPA’s PresidentDEAR CONFERENCE ATTENDEES,

We have an exciting schedule of events for our Spring and Summer Conferences for GAPA’s 40th Anniversary! We are offering over 26 hrs of CME during the Spring Conference and over 33 hrs of CME during the Summer Conference. We also have multiple workshops available to learn new skills, perfect old skills, or just learn a few pointers along the way.

Our Spring Conference is being held at the Cobb Energy Center in Atlanta. We are happy to provide a more convenient venue for our attendees, as well as a location that will allow families to enjoy the unlimited activities around the city. This will also provide us with the opportunity to take our “CME activities on the road.” On Wednesday March 4th, we will be traveling on buses to the capital for “PA Week” in Georgia. Come one, come all! Wear your white coats and show your legislators the importance of PAs in Healthcare and share with them our concern with our ability and right to practice in Georgia. More details will follow concerning the CME credits during the bus rides to and from the capital.

Don’t miss the keynote speaker at the spring conference, Dr. Alex Isakov from Emory University, as he speaks on Ebola Treatment and Procedures. I’m sure this will be a memorable event that we all can’t afford to miss!

In July, we’ll meet again on Hilton Head Island. This will prove to be one of our largest conferences ever. We look forward to starting our Alumni Gatherings from our state’s programs. Plan to meet up with your old friends and share new stories. The Student Challenge Bowl and Student Track looks to bring in some young life and energy especially when we have our Volleyball Tournament. Plan to bring your family along to enjoy the beach and sun but, don’t forget about the Golf Tournament, 5K Fun Run, and the Blood Drive.

I look forward to seeing y’all in 2015.
