Welcome to the 49th Annual Georgia Association on
Young Children Conference! When you take part in the
GAYC Annual Conference, you will have the opportunity to
take part in a learning experience that will be fun,
dynamic, enriching and enlightening! The conference
this year was designed to help meet your professional
development needs, your networking needs, and your
growth a professional in the Early Childhood field. It has
been intentionally planned for higher education faculty,
trainers & technical assistance providers, program
administrators, mentor teachers, and early childhood
professionals. This is a great opportunity for you to
connect with other professionals to share experiences,
ideas, and your passion for working with children and
families.
With over 75 sessions and other events, the GAYC
conference provides the research-based information
and advocacy tools needed to help us make a
meaningful difference in our field.

Credit Hour Options
Bright from the Start: Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning Credit Hours
In accordance with licensing regulations, by attending a session, obtaining a sticker documenting session attendance and
signing your certificate (available in the final program on-site at conference) participants may earn up to six (6) credit
hours of their annual training requirements.
Continuing Education Units (CEUs)
We are able to offer 0.15 up to 1.2 CEUs to those participants who have attended one to twelve hours of sessions at the GAYC Conference over
the 2-day period. If you would like to obtain CEUs, you must pay $10 as an additional registration fee (see registration form). GAYC must verify
and make a copy of your CEU form to send to the University of Georgia before you leave the conference.
Georgia Department of Education (GA DOE) Professional Learning Contact Hours Certificate and PLU Information
Participants who hold either a valid Georgia Teaching Certificate or Paraprofessional License, or who are working towards
a Paraprofessional License, can earn (10) hours of contact time towards one PLU credit. The certificate will be available
at the On-Site Registration Area at close of the conference upon verification of 10-clock hour attendance. There is no
charge for PLU’s.

GAYC Refund Policy
Should you choose to cancel your registration, you may receive a refund minus a $10 per person handling charge. Refunds can only be given if notice of cancellation is received in writing by GAYC at least 7 working days prior to the Conference. No refunds or credits can be made after that date under any circumstance. If you cannot attend, you may send another participant in your place.
