SISGEO was established in 1993 when the current shareholders acquired

These are simple filter units for measuring water levelin permeable soil.Several models are available for different applications.The Casagrande piezometer is used to measure porewater pressure. The open standpipe piezometer is usedto measure the water table level.The filters are made of high density polyethylene with athreaded cap joint for two 1/

2" tubes or one 1 1/2" tube.

Standpipe piezometers are also available as 1 1/2"

slotted tubes wrapped in filtering fabric.A stainless steel push-in filter unit is also available forsoft soil installation.

Vibrating Wire piezometers are strongly recommendedfor long term monitoring of soil pore pressure or groundwater levels.The VW piezometer consists of a stainless steel bodyequipped with a filter unit (porous stone) and apressure sensitive diaphragm with tensioned steelwire. The vibrating wire is tensioned inside anhermetically sealed and vacuum space.VW piezometers guarantee fast response, long-termstability and immunity to voltage surges (lightning).Readings of VW piezometers are obtained by vibratingwire readout or datalogger.Filter units are available with different porosity: eitherHAE (high air entry) and LAE (low air entry) value filtersare suitable for piezometer applications in impervious,saturated and permeable soils.

SATURATION DEVICE(Product code 0PF01SAT000)The filter saturation is a decisive factor of a successfulinstallation of embedded piezometers. Water flow monitoring in open channels is widelyemployed in the environmental and geotechnical fields.Leakage measurement is one of the most importantindicators of the overall performance of earth/rock-filland concrete dams. The leakage rate is a function ofthe water level in the reservoir and depends either onthe construction and/or the integrity of the dam.Consequently, leakage monitoring provides data for theevaluation of the long term stability of the damconstruction.Leakage water is usually impounded downstream fromthe dam and diverted to a basin in a weir-station.

Inclinometer casing is a special grooved tube, generallyinstalled into a borehole, used in conjunction withinclinometer system to determine sub-surface groundor horizontal soil movements.The inclinometer casing performs the following mainfunctions:- it reflects deformations of soil or rock into which it isinstalled or in structures to which it is attached;- it provides a precise casing for the operation of theinclinometer probe in the determination of inclinationchanges;- its internal grooves provide orientation reference forthe inclinometer probe.

In-Place Inclinometer (IPI) sensors are designedfor automatic monitoring of critical locations. Jointedtogether and suspended inside the casing wheredeformation may occur, a string of IPI sensors allowsthe operator to monitor the profile of the inclinometercasing on a continuous basis.Vertical and horizontal in-place inclinometers areavailable in uniaxial and biaxial versions, equipped withsolid-state accelerometer or force-balanced servo-accelerometer sensors.Separated signal cables are required for each sensor.However, several in-place inclinometers can be linkedtogether in order to create a single multi-core cableoutput. The magnet extensometer is a system, based on BritishBuilding Research techniques, for measuring eithersettlement or heave at various depths in soil,embankments, earthfill dams and dikes.The system consists of an access tube with externalcorrugate pipe, magnet rings, as well as a telescopicbottom section with datum ring and suspension head.Magnet rings (targets) are positioned externally to theaccess tube, and then placed in the ground wheremovements may occur. The DSM Differential Settlement Monitoring System hasbeen developed by Sisgeo for automatic and continuouslong-term monitoring of differential settlements or heavesof buildings and structures.The DSM structure system consists of a series of DSMtank-gauges interconnected by a small hydraulic tube to areference tank, which is located on a firm point away fromthe area that is going to be monitored.The hydraulic tube is filled by a de-aired mixture of 50%glycerine (99%) and 50% water. This mix is usuallysupplied by Sisgeo and is chemically inert to allcomponents in the system. The measurement of fluid level inside each DSM tankindicates the elevation difference between the sensorsand the reference tank.

The measured soil settlement of ground orembankments is of primary importance for monitoringthe structural stability during construction works. Sisgeo flexible diaphragm NATM Stress Cells havebeen designed to optimize measurements of radial andtangential stresses in shotcrete and concrete tunnellining.The stress cell consists of a pressure pad connected tothe transducer by a hydraulic line. Crackmeters and jointmeters are utilized to monitormovements across surface cracks and joints inconcrete structures or rock. The instrument assemblyincludes a sensor housing and a target. Hanging pendulums are designed to monitor horizontalmovements. They are very commonly utilized inconcrete dams to measure change of verticality of thestructure.The direct pendulum is a gravity-referencedinstrument. Sisgeo ADK-100 is a powerful and versatile multi-function datalogger built around the CampbellScientific CR1000 measurement and control module. Amulti-tasking operating system allows simultaneouscommunication and measurement functions. Multiplexers with built-in over voltage protectionsprovide additional inputs up to 192 analogue or 96differential channels.ADK-100 datalogger is designed for field use, availablein different versions. All versions are housed in water-resistant IP65 stainless steel enclosures.ADK-100 is ideally suited, not only for data logging, butfor alarm notification of any sensor parameter when apreset threshold value is exceeded. Control actions canbe managed through Multilogger Software.

A complete data acquisition system requires additionalcomponents such as multiplexer boards,communication modules, safe power supply andenclosure. The ADK-100 datalogger offers a variety ofcomponents to meet all client’s requirements.Communication is made by direct USB cableconnection or through any kind of remote interface(GSM or phone modem, fibre optic, RS485 digital cable,ethernet network, etc…)An extensive range of sensors can be read and storedin any user-selected engineering unit. ML Multilogger Software is a 32 bit applicationdesigned to manage data acquired from monitoringinstrumentation, whether connected directly to the PCor connected to remote accessible PC viacommunication peripherals.The channel configuration form configures instrumentsconnected via ADK-100 multiplexers and extendedparameters referring to special processing that is donesuch as summing measurements from multiplechannels. Each channel could be configured with linearor polynomial coefficients in order to return engineeringvalues.ML Software function is not limited to programming theADK-100 datalogger, download, monitoring, alarmmanagement and data collection are also supported.

WEB SERVICES

WEB MONITORING SYSTEMWMS runs inside a dedicated WEB portal and allowsauthenticated users to access customized pages wheremany advanced services can be displayed such as rawdata automated conversion, manual and automaticdata validation, real-time data analysis and graphicaldisplay, SMS/e-mail advanced alarms setup, synopticchart with instruments status alarm, etc...Inside WMS could also run on FIELDSTAT, a softwaredesigned, built and developed by Sisgeo and Field, incollaboration with the University of Bergamo for thestatistics analysis of historical data recorded by themonitoring systems. Fieldstat allows to determine andcorrect the correlations that may influence data (i.e.temperature).

Different models of waterproof junction boxes areavailable for single or multiple cables entry. Threelevels overvoltage protection (OVP) boards are availableto be assembled inside the junction boxes or onto DINguides to protect electrical instruments.Measuring switch boxes are available in different sizesto connect up to 6, 12, 18 or 24 instruments.
