Notice is hereby given that the special meeting of the German Shepherd Dog Club ofAmerica-Working Dog Association Board of Directors which was originally scheduled for June 17,2013, is continued to June 24, 2013, as follows:

The following items of business will be addressed:
1. Approval of the following Kennel Group Rule:
“Each Kennel Group must have no more and no less than 5 dogs that are registered withthe same breeder and the exact same kennel name. Only one person may be identifiedon the dog’s registration as the breeder. The dogs must come from at least two differentsires and two different dams. The maximum difficulty is four fathers and fourmothers. The dogs in the kennel group must also complete a regular class. The dogs mustbe of the same coat variety. The breeder, however, is free to enter more than onegroup. The breeder must be a current GSDCA-WDA member in good standing.”
2. Reinstatement of Doug Alexander as a Teaching Helper;
3. Selection of an Assistant Team Captain for the 2013 WUSV World Championship; and
4. Approve the Annual Membership Meeting for October 4, 2013.

Report of the Program Rules Committee
June 5, 2013
The Program Rules Committee met by conference call to discuss the Kennel Group rule as proposed by Mr. Henkel at the April, 2013 Board meeting. Although the committee was mindful of possible effects on close family members breeding as a ‘team’, the committee recommends that the rule be approved without change, i.e.:
Each Kennel Group must have no more and no less than 5 dogs that are registered with
the same breeder and the exact same kennel name. Only one person may be identified on the dog’s registration as the breeder. The dogs must come from at least two different sires and two different dams. The maximum difficulty is four fathers and four mothers. The dogs in the kennel group must also complete a regular class. The dogs must be of the same coat variety. The breeder, however, is free to enter more than one group. The breeder must be a current GSDCA-WDA member in good standing.
We can all make the GSDCA-WDA better, but remember . . . The Breed Must Come First.
