What is an Unrestricted Endowment? Crofton Community Foundation Fund is working to build a permanent unrestricted endowment. The endowment is an important tool to keep our hometown growing, thriving and improving for future generations because it creates a steady stream of revenue for community needs today and those that will arise in the years to come.

Funds in the endowment are invested and continue to increase. Each year, the Crofton Community Foundation Fund Advisory Committee grants out a portion of the income earned by the unrestricted endowment to local projects and programs that are enhancing quality of life in Crofton. The principal—and your gift—remains intact and grows forever.

To date, CCFF has supported initiatives to increase tourism, adult education, leadership and projects like new playground equipment, basketball hoops, a baseball scoreboard, and new concession stand.

What is the Crofton Community Foundation Fund?A group of thoughtful community leaders launched the Crofton Community Foundation Fund in 2010 as an affiliated fund of Nebraska Community Foundation. Now part of a statewide movement to spearhead community development and create future prosperity, the Fund is working to build a robust endowment to benefit our community long into the future.

The mission of the Crofton Community Foundation Fund is to establish a financial base for the citizens of Crofton and the surrounding area so we can continue to have a prosperous community and strive to add to the betterment of the area. We are focused on raising funds that can be used for special community projects and help grow our community unrestricted endowment.

How Can I Support My Community Through CCFF?There are many ways to support our work. Our affiliation with Nebraska Community Foundation makes it possible to give gifts of real estate, grain, livestock, life insurance, bequests in wills and more. We can accept gifts of cash or pledges over a multi-year period. You can even give a gift that provides a guaranteed income and tax savings through a gift annuity or a charitable remainder trust.

Our “Builders Club” is making monthly donations through automatic withdrawal. You can also participate in the Builders Club through annual, semi-annual or quarterly donations.
