Commas

End marks signal a full stop. Commas signal a brief pause. A comma may be used to separate elements in a sentence or to set off part of a sentence. Include a comma in your writing when you want your reader to group information in your sentence.

As we go through the rest of the notes, mark down specific information on how to use commas in each of the situations we cover today.
