Supplies For How Long?

US Government advises a minimum of 3 days worth of supplies.

Recent events have shown this estimate is too low.

Experience from recent natural emergencies have shown 14 days is BARE minimum.

Should I store more than 30 days?You can but then you move into long term storage plans and survival storage which are beyond the scope of this presentation

Water is the HIGHEST priority itemAt 120° F a human can survive 2 days without water; most humans will die after 3 to 4 days without water!How much do you need per day?• 1 gallon of “drinking” water per person• 2 gallons of water per person for other

Water can be stored in water bottles to water barrels to anything that will hold it.

Water can become contaminated making it undrinkable

Keeping water out of the light (sunlight or artificial) is the best way to ensure nothing grows in it.Adding chlorine or other water treatment chemicals can keep water safe for storage.
