RONDO
A musical form where one section keeps repeating after the other sections.
Round – the same melody sung at different times. In a round, the first part starts and ends before the second part. The second part never “catches” the first part because they always remain the exact same distance apart.

Partner Song – two different melodies sung at the same time. They may start at the exact same time or a beat apart. The melodies complement each other, like pieces of a puzzle. Both parts usually end at the same time, unlike a round where one part always finishes first.

Rounds and Partner Songs are VERY SPECIAL!
Not all songs can be sung as a round or partnered with another song and sound right. It takes a clever composer to make this work out!
Listen & Discover
The pictures are clues to the song titles. Listen to the melody and name that tune. As the music progresses, decide if the melody is used in a round or a partner song.
