Dear Breeders and Friends,On behalf of our entire family, we invite you to our Sixth Annual Production Sale, consisting of 87 Red Angus bulls and 50+ commercial first calf heifer pairs, and 100+ commercial open heifer calves.

Although our family has been in the cattle and ranching businesses for more than 40 years, we are now committed to the Red Angus seedstock industry. We acquired the Camp 1A and Windy Hill herds in their entirety over the last several years, and have invested heavily in new herd sires and donor females as well. Our most recent acquisition was a select group of bred heifers from the well-respected Six Mile Ranch program of Saskatchewan, Canada. We feel that with these purchases, we are moving in the right direction toward being one of the constant and reliable bull and female suppliers to the industry.

Since 1978, our grandfather and father have owned and operated Smoky Y Ranch. They ran and continue to run a commercial herd with great success. We continue to utilize the best bulls we can find throughout North America for use in this herd, and it serves as the background for our decision to be in the registered business. We hope you can be with us for our sale April 4. We are hosting a preview gathering and supper on Wednesday evening prior to the sale. Everyone is invited, and the sale offering will be on display.

GUARANTEEAll bulls have passed a breeding soundness exam and are guaranteed to be breeders. Each animal becomes risk of buyer as soon as sold. All bulls selling for $4000 or more are guaranteed against breeding injury for the first breeding season. A breeding season is defined as 90 days after turn out. Breeding injury is defined as an injury to penis or preputial tear with inability to extend. This is not an insurance policy. This guarantee does not cover non-breeding injury resulting from a accident or gross negligence. If any breeding injury occurs contact Smoky Y Ranch or Dr. Miller, or have your veterinarian contact Dr. Miller. If a replacement bull is available he will be provided, or if the buyer prefers, 1/2 of the purchase price value will be applied toward another bull in the next sale. Buyer keeps salvage value. Notification must be made prior to or during the first breeding season.

DELIVERYFree delivery within a 200 mile radius of the ranch or a central location. We will assist with trucking arrangements on any purchases outside of the area. Any delivery over 200 miles will be discussed and pro-rated with the customer.

HERD HEALTHAll calves have been PI tested. All bulls in the sale will have been semen checked and passed a fertility and soundness exam. Health certificates can be issued on any animal in the sale, making them eligible for interstate shipment. The bulls and females in the sale have been pre-weaned and weaning vaccinated for respiratory disease. They have been poured, dewormed and ear notch tested for BVD. All females have been palpated and pelvic measured. All heifers are guaranteed open and have been tested for BVD and calfhood vaccinated. All bulls have had their first round of Fusoguard.

What a way to start off the offering of our 2019 Annual Bull Sale with a trio of flush mate brothers that are from the heart of our program. The dam of these three brothers has been a mainstay producer since we introduced her into our program. A-1 Siera Indeed 549X was produced in the famed A-1 program in Texas before their dispersal when Wildcat Creek Ranch selected her as one of the top selling lots. We were fortunate to be able to have the chance to own Siera Indeed 549X when she was offered up for sale again in the historic Wildcat Creek Ranch dispersal sale. She has become a big time producer for our program and has left behind several daughters that are at the top of their contemporary group and will become the next generation of herd impacting females within our program. Concept was our selection of the noted Bar-E-L program in Canada that we partnered on with Lynn Combest, Double A Land & Cattle, and Twin Willow Farms. There is no denying the impact that Concept has made on all of our programs. These three brothers not only impress from a phenotype standpoint, but they also are balanced in their paperwork with a uniform number profile.
