Get Your Best Summer Skin
Don’t Forget To Protect Yourself This Summer! While summer may be about
warm weather, sandy beaches, and sun-kissed skin, it is also about protecting yourself against the heat and harmful UV rays.
Whether you’re spending a day by the shores or going out to run errands, safety under the sun is a must.
Lucky for you, we’ve rounded up some tips to ensure you get the best (and healthiest) summer glow around.
Tip #1: Go Natural.
With the temperatures rising, our sweat glands go into overdrive.
Change up your makeup routine and skip the powder and foundation.
Going natural will prevent clogged pores and breakouts.
If you really can’t stand the idea of not wearing any makeup, shoot for a tinted moisturizer with SPF to get some light coverage.
Tip 2: Apply Sunscreen.
Overexposure to UV rays without protection not only ages your skin faster, but also creates health risks such as Melanoma and other forms of skin cancers.
During the summer, there is a stronger level of ultraviolet radiation, so be sure to choose a higher level of SPF to protect your skin from sun damage.
If you have sensitive skin or worry about clogged pores, go for a natural, physical sunscreen rather than one that sinks into the skin.
Tip #3:Soothe Damaged Skin.
Sunburns are the worst, but how you take care of damaged skin makes all the difference.
Generously apply cooling agents, such as aloe vera, to over-exposed skin at the fight sight of pinkness.
Aloe vera can help prevent peeling, reduce redness and inflammation, and shorten the length of your suffering.
Tip #4: Exfoliate.
Exfoliating removes dead skin cells and helps absorb hydration from sunscreen and moisturizes.
Plus, it will give you an all-over smooth look.
Tip #5: Hydrate.
Hydrating your body and your skin is key to having the best summer skin.
Using toners and moisturizers will actually prevent your skin from overproducing oils and keep your skin looking refreshed all day.
In addition to hydrating your skin, make sure you’re drinking plenty of water.
Eight 8-ounce glasses of water a day helps maintain the balance of your body and detoxifies the skin.
Reminder…
We hope that these tips give you the best summer skin you’ve ever had.
But remember, maintaining your skin doesn’t stop when summer ends.
Use these tips every day to keep a healthy, natural glow year-round!
