1 Get Your Website to Generate More Leads! Does your website generate leads for you on a daily, weekly and monthly basis? Does your website help you to prequalify prospects? What are you doing on a daily basis to make your website more effective? So you have a website. Unfortunately, it’s not like the Field of Dreams. It’s not ‘If you build it they will come.’ Are you ready to make your website more effective for your business and make it make you money (rather than just cost you money)? Here are our 9 steps to get your website to generate more leads: 1. IDENTIFY YOUR TARGET MARKET. Do you know who your ideal client or target market is? You should create an avatar for your ideal client. Who are they? What do they look like? What is their biggest concern? What is most important to them? 2. CREATE A MESSAGE FOR YOUR TARGET MARKET. What message can you create and what information can you provide that your ideal client would want to hear? This is crucial (and the reason you have to identify your target market first)? You cannot generate leads on your website if you can’t provide something of value to your prospects. And the only way to create something of value is to understand your ideal client and to understand what is valuable to them. 3. CREATE SPECIFIC PAGES FOR DIFFERENT NEEDS/CONCERNS. Create different pages for different needs and concerns. So you determine 3 key concerns that your target market has. You need to create 3 different pages. Keep your main page. But you will want to direct different traffic to different pages (ex. If your main page was www.abc.com and you wanted to create information for your clients about getting more traffic you would use www.abc.com/getmoretraffic ).

Get Your Website to Generate More Leads!

Here are our 9 steps to get your website to generate more leads:

4. CREATE GREAT CONTENT. Create great content in the form of white papers and ebooks. This content will be used to provide value to your ideal client as well as entice them to complete actions (like signing up on a capture form). A great way to start includes:

a. What are the top 5-10 questions prospects ask? b. What are the top 5-10 questions customers ask? c. What are 3 questions that prospects should ask you before buying your

type of product and service but never do (because they don’t know what they don’t know)?

d. Is there any specific industry knowledge that would be helpful for prospects and/or clients?

e. Checklists for your industry f. Cheat sheets

5. CAPTURE INFORMATION. Using the great content above, create a capture form

on one of your specific pages on your website. This is easier than it sounds. Most autoresponder programs have a capture form creator. You create it using their tools, and it creates html code for you to place on your website. A few examples of autoresponders include Aweber, Constant Contact, MailChimp, Infusion Soft, Ontraport, etc. Some of the autoresponders are inexpensive while others are much more expensive. The ‘smarter’ the program is (i.e. that you can tell it to respond to an action), the more expensive. Aweber has a 30 day free trial you can check out. The content you are using as the lead magnet needs to be good. It needs to be able to entice someone to give their information. In addition to the lead capture, certain social media platforms allow you to track and identify prospects even if they don’t complete a form.

6. STAY IN FRONT OF PROSPECTS AND CLIENT & ADD VALUE. Stay in contact and add value (value value). You need a system in place that helps you stay in contact with prospects and clients. I mentioned autoresponders before. It’s important to remember you are NOT just contacting prospects and clients with yet another sales message. People will quickly tune you out and turn you off. But if you provide something they perceive as valuable, you will differentiate yourself from the competitor. So create good content and give it freely. Creating great content and setting up a system to stay in contact can be very tedious and time consuming. But once you have it in place, it is absolutely

magical. In addition to the contact system, connecting with prospects and clients on social media is an easy and great way to stay in front of them. And you can repurpose the content you created and use it on social media. For more specific social media tips, go to www.JSBTampa.com/socialmedia.

7. TRAFFIC, TRAFFIC & TRAFFIC. Direct traffic to your specific pages. The more specialized pages, the better. You need to direct all traffic AND TRACK THAT TRAFFIC to see which system or method works best. You need to do Search Engine Optimization, pay per click ads, Facebook ads, LinkedIn ads, Youtube ads, offline in store ads, email traffic, offline advertising, direct mail and so much more. For example, did you know you can use your list of clients to target to just them on Facebook? Facebook Campaign Manager allows you to create a specific campaign with email addresses. This is VERY powerful and very effective for very few dollars! Do your Facebook posts get traffic? Do your Facebook ads get you traffic? How many people are going to Google and finding you? How many people are finding you by inputting the specific web page? For tips for Facebook Analytics, download our free report by going to: www.JSBTampa.com/fb.

8. INTEGRATE! Integrate all of your marketing. You have to connect all of your marketing in order to make it more effective. And by integrating it with your website, you generate more traffic and create a more effective website. Do you have a system in place to automatically integrate all of your efforts? It’s easier than you think!

9. TRACK & MONITOR! You need to track all of your sources, track all of your pages, track all of your marketing to make it more effective. Do you do this? Most companies track the total number of dollars for marketing. But you really need to track each marketing effort to see what’s working. If you don’t track each step, you don’t know what is working, what is producing the best prospects, and what is converting. Google Analytics is a great tool for this. Do you have an account? And do you have Google Analytics loaded on every one of your pages? Do you have separate tracking phone numbers for different marketing? Do you have different website links?
