Norwood Community Group Services provides informal education as well as recreational activities.
Our aim is to encourage young people to aspire to and achieve their full potential as mature and confident individuals, so that they realise that they have a unique contribution to make to the social, cultural and economic activities in their communities.
We are always interested in hearing from and working with other people and organisations that share our goals.
A healthy body = a healthy mind!
Our weekly sports programmes
encourage teamwork, discipline,
and personal accountability.
Most of all, they are great fun and
everyone is welcome!
INTRODUCTION
FIT FOR LIFE
Friday 6-8pm
Monday 7-8.30pm
NCGS are looking for Volunteers with experience in Marketing, Fundraising, Administration & Community Projects.
Please visit our website to find out more.
Our Youth Forum is actively involved in organising these activities and together we are commited to providing a fun, safe, positive inclusive environment.
Analysis of need: NCGS through consultation with the local youth of West Norwood, who have helped to co-designed and co-produced this initiative; we have identified a strong desire to address their transition from teenager’s to young adult. For millions of students across the country, concluding their studies at high school or college will conjure up feelings of relief, freedom and happiness but for others, finishing their studies elicits a feeling of great uncertainty. Youth Unemployment Statistics Commons Library Note: 817,000 young people aged 16-24 were unemployed in March to May 2014, down 64,000 on the previous quarter and down 141,000 on the previous year.
We offer a range of vocational training certified training courses through our partnership with Platinum Security.
Courses available are: DOOR SUPERVISION – SECURITY – CCTV – PHYSICAL INTERVENTION – FIRST AID
