    • If you have discomfort with a certain type of case, thats the one you should take.

    • Dont worry too much about speed (1-1.2 pph)

    • Talk to Dr. Erik Kulstad or any attending about potential projects.
    • Choose something thats doable
    • Be alert for cool cases and pictures or clinical questions you develop.
  • 32. How to increase your experience
    • Doctor to room 4A Stat or Code 44!
    • Always say yes if the nurses ask for help.
    • See as many kids as possible, especially seek out resuscitations.
  • 33. How to increase your experience
    • Be a procedure hound.
    • Utilize ultrasound to guide procedures
    • Utilize the advanced airway cart
    • Document all procedures in EValue
  • 34. PGY2 Year
    • EM2s and EMs get some supplemental money to go to a conference.
    • Many try to go as a group.
  • 35. Read
  • 36. PGY 3 Year
    • Read and go to conference with purpose now
    • Finish your resident project
    • Take step 3
    • Start interviewing for jobs in late fall
    • Consider outside moonlighting
    • Help us recruit new residents
