Getting Started: I Have, Who Has Game
Test Prep!
The standardized testing we do in our state always includes questions that require a constructed response by the students. There are many parts to a strong constructed response, but I always start with teaching my students how to “turn the question around.”
This game is intended to be used after the students have been introduced to the concept. It’s a fun way to practice the skill.
Students enjoy I Have, Who Has games, mine included!

How to play the game:
Distribute the cards randomly to your students. Some students may get more than one card. The player whose card says, “I have the first card” at the top begins the game by reading everything on his or her card. The student who has the card with the correct answer to the previous student’s “Who Has...” question reads their card aloud and so on. Students must listen carefully to the questions so they know when it is their turn to read. The game is over when everyone has read their card. The last sentence on the final card will read, “Who has the first card?”
