1. Create a test list within your Constant Contact account Your “test list” should consist of 3-5 names and email addresses of any colleagues who will need to proof and approve campaigns before they are sent. Don’t forget to include your own name and email address, to ensure you receive all test sends too.

2. Create list of all franchisees This list should represent all franchisees you intend on sending campaigns on behalf of via the central send site. This will need to be created by your Account Manager. Here’s what to include in your spreadsheet:

i. First Name

ii. Last Name

iii. Email Address

iv. Physical Address

v. Desired Constant Contact Username

vi. Desired Constant Contact Password (these should be changed by the franchisee once they log into their accounts at www.ConstantContact.com).

3. Log in to central send Once your account is set up, now you’re ready to send a test campaign! Log into your central send account at www.centralsend.com.

4. Create an HTML campaign You can do this internally, by leveraging Constant Contact’s Custom Services team, or by leveraging a third party agency.

5. Test your HTML campaign a. We always recommend sending a test campaign, from your Test Site before sending a live campaign. Your central send account has two sub-sites – one for Test and one for Live sending.

b. Select Manage Accounts and add your Constant Contact account information. Then hit Save.

d. Within your central send dashboard, click on Manage Email Campaigns.

c. Within Settings, select your test list name from your Constant Contact account list options, and pick your time zone.

f. Create an email title (NOTE: This is for internal reference and reporting only, it is not a subject line.)

g. Paste in your HTML into the HTML Code Block.

h. Paste in your HTML into the Text Content Block. Then hit Save.

i. Under Manage Email Campaigns click on +Create New Campaign.

j. Select the email campaign you’d like to send, and click on the left-hand icon to schedule.

k. Choose date and time you’d like to schedule the test campaign to send.

l. Make any necessary edits to your HTML campaign, and continue to send in your Test Site environment until approved by all on your test list – prior to considering a live send.*

* Once a campaign is scheduled to be sent, the only way to unscheduled it is to delete the campaign within your Central Send account. This will in turn change the “scheduled” status in your franchisees’ local accounts to “draft”. It is why we recommend you always send a test first!

6. Send your live campaign a. On central send homepage, click on Enter Your Live Site.

b. Log in to your Live Site, with your “Live” login credentials.

c. Within Settings, select the universal list within your franchisees’ local accounts you’d like to mail to.

e. Click on Create a New Campaign.

j. Select the email campaign you’d like to send on behalf of your franchisee accounts, then select the left-hand icon to schedule your campaign.

k. Choose date and time you’d like the campaign to send. Keep in mind you may pre-schedule a campaign to send at a specific date/time. All scheduling is based on the time zone that has been setup by the Site Admin under the Settings tab.

i. Under Manage Email Campaigns click on +Create New Campaign.
