TRADITION:Volterra, during the years, starting from the 11th century was strongly affected by fightings between The Guelphs and Ghibellines.

Guelphs Vs Ghibellines fight was sym-bolized by using a dragon and gryphon wich are fighting.

TIME because the history of Volterra started almost 3000 years ago.3

THE ANALYSIS

FOCUS ONAs for all cityes in Tuscany, the new logo has to keep all the cultural heritage.Since his Medieval foundation, Volterra has been recognized everywhere by his coat of arm.

CONFLICT nowadays way of thinking in Volterra, has been strongly influenced by the city past. Conflict was the way in which politic and religion were used to develope.

FOCUS ONTIME is change and developement. The new logo has to be recognizable but also has to include the new sense of Time and Conflict.
