Gimp Course

Assignment 1- create feather border

Make edges of the photo transparent so photo dissolves into the background

The gimp course uses the free program gimp.

It is very similar to photoshop, and shows students

how to repair, re colour, alter and manipulate photos,

and how to make title pages or logos.

This is a very basic, easy to follow starter course.

Note this course uses Gimp 2.6.

Assignment 3 – Enhancing b & w images

Remove colour of photo turning it black and white , then re-colour photo

Assignment 4 – add focal point

Select girl and blur background to make the girl the focal point

Assignment 2- remove subject

Select and copy image, create new background, and paste image on it

Assignment 6 – Sparkling text

Create an animated flashing title

Assignment 7- restoration of damaged photo

Tidy up and repair old photo

Assignment 5 - place image inside text

Use a picture of roses to fill text

Assignment 9 – reflective title ?

Create a title page

Assignment 10- add hair

Restore hair to bald head

Assignment 8- remove facial wrinkles

Remove wrinkles and spots from face
