1997-2000 Project Coordinator, Special Projects, Federation of Cattle Raisers Associations of the Philippines, Inc. (FCRAP, Inc.). Responsible for all office management, developing new projects, networking, proposal preparation, report preparation, surveys, membership recruitment and other tasks as requested by the President of the cattle raiser’s association. Project/In-Country Coordinator, Worldwide Farmer-to-Farmer Program (WWFTF) of the Federation of Cattle Raisers Associations of the Philippines and Land O’Lakes International, Inc. A Project funded by United States Agency for International Development (USAID). The goal of the program is to increase private-sector agricultural production and agri-businesses, thereby improving the economic conditions of the rural populations in the Philippines particularly Mindanao. The project’s purpose is to increase the number of viable micro enterprises and small businesses in the livestock sector through deployment of agribusiness specialists-volunteers by way of technical assistance. Being the coordinator, I was responsible of the overall project coordination, office administration, logistics, client identification, communication between the local WWFtF clients, Land O’Lakes Arden Hills Office, USAID Office in Manila and various local organizations, follow-up visits with program recipients, program impact assessment, WWFtF clients needs assessment, managing office expenses, and writing quarterly and impact reports on program progress. I also worked closely with the volunteer-consultants gaining a hands-on experience with the technical assistance being served to the clients. Technical assistance extended by the program were on beef cattle production, dairy cattle production, cattle feedlot fattening operation, pork/swine production, water buffalo production, feed milling, pasture and forage development, farm mechanization, waste management, plant sanitation, meat processing, animal product and by-product development, marketing, product development and business plan preparation.

In-Country Coordinator, Cooperative Development Program (CDP) of the Federation of Cattle Raisers Associations of the Philippines and Land O’Lakes International, Inc. A Project funded by United States Agency for International Development (USAID). The Cooperative Development Program was designed to extend technical assistance through training to the agricultural-based cooperatives in Mindanao. The training includes parliamentary procedures, basic principles and practices for cooperatives – management, membership recruitment and retention, planning and extension service.

1995-1997 Office Manager, Growth with Equity in Mindanao (GEM) Program, a 5-year bilateral program of the USAID and Office of the President for Mindanao, Cagayan de Oro Field Office. Human Resources Department. This is the department where I spent most of my time. 2001-2002 ▪ Hospitality Days ▪ Assisted Dr. Spicer in developing the Dietitians Internship Online Application in FrontPage. ▪ Assisted Dr. Ryan and Tong Yu in creating and developing a Web survey in FrontPage. ▪ Assisted Kelly Way in creating and developing her Web survey. ▪ Created and developed the Web survey for the Study on Changes in restaurant patrons’ behavior,

attitudes, and feelings concerning smoking bans in the State of Oklahoma. Able to find a free Web server for the FFP Web survey.

▪ Created and developed the Web survey using FrontPage 2000 for the Study of the Interest in Family Financial Planning. The study was conducted for the Great Plains Interactive Distance Education Alliance.

▪ Developed a Web survey using FrontPage 2000 web application software. ▪ Assisted the ARS staff in finding a Web server with FrontPage extensions in order to upload or

publish the CHES scholarship Web page. DASNR through the office of Mr. Dwayne Hunter granted us a free server space with FrontPage extensions to host the ARS scholarship web site created in FrontPage. I coordinated the meeting between CHES ARS and DASNR personnel. The meeting was attended by Lynn Smith, Kevin Lampert, Mandi Williams, Dwayne Hunter, and Kevin MacAbee.

▪ Assisted the Academic and Research Services in creating the CHES Scholarship Web page and Web site. The CHES Web Page was created in FrontPage 2000.

Hospitality Days (2002-2004). Helped in the preparation of the plenary session and career fair of the students in the school. Chef’s Event (2000-2006). This is a fund-raising event of the school to raise scholarship funds for the HRA students. This is culminated by a full service dinner which showcases students as server, wine servers, managers, and cooks. Worked in the kitchen under the supervision of the invited chef. January 10, 2002, Proposal Development Workshop, Sponsored by the Oklahoma EPSCoR. This program is designed for faculty, post docs and graduate students who are interested in enhancing their proposal writing skills. There were two parts to the program. The presentations were about preparing fundable proposals, as well as National Science Foundation (NSF) instrumentation proposals in biological and chemical areas. An overview of the NSF CAREER program for all NSF directorates was also discussed. Finally, an Oklahoma researcher shared the process she went through in preparing a successfully funded CAREER proposal.
