The Gippsland Wine Show continues to go from strength to strength, and I think we can rightly claim to be amongst the best regional wine shows in the country. The show is a fantastic platform to reward excellence, but also a chance for us to come together and celebrate the diversity of wines that makes our region great. This year we had 164 entries from 29 wineries, which is really pleasing given the difficulties with the last few vintages. 79 wines received 85 points or above which is an absolutely fantastic achievement!
On behalf of the Gippsland Wine Show Committee, I would like to thank the judges, stewards and volunteers that have generously donated their time and energy to ensure the show runs smoothly.
Thank you to the RACV Inverloch Resort for both coming on as our new naming rights sponsor and also for hosting our judging and awards dinner. A huge thank you also goes out to all of our other sponsors, without whom, our show could not possibly run.

Class Comments- Top wine showed elegance & finesse without leaning on age or autolysis too much. Some microbial issues on low pointers.
Class Comments- Quality of fruit is evident across the whole flight. Careful attention to ripeness & oak is where some come unstuck. Oak phenolics & grape tannins seen as detractors when palate is raspy.

Class Comments- Lots of wonderful wines here a pleasure to judge. Clearly some great fruit. Points were lost for over extraction and coarse texture. Some issues of fruit homogenuity with sweet/sour charcters evident. Nice range of styles.
Class Comments- Many wines over oaked or showing unripe flavours. 2 Bretty wines. Top wines were complex and spicy. Nice diveristy of styles. Some whole bunch work more successful than others.
