Base Realignment and Closure Act of 2005 (BRAC 2005) closed the Fort in September 2011.

Fort Monmouth Economic Revitalization Authority (FMERA) Created by Gov. Chris Christie to help in the transfer of the federally
owned property from the Dept of Defense to the State of New Jersey GOALS:
