This one hour presentation includes works by Giuliani, Montaña, Da Milano and Australian composer Peter Sculthorpe. Giuseppe Zangari www.giuseppezangari.com Born in Australia to Italian parents, Giuseppe Zangari studied guitar at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music under Gregory Pikler and has worked with many influential Australian musicians and composers including Simon Tedeschi, Tim Kain, Phillip Houghton, Richard Charlton and David Miller. Giuseppe is currently on the guitar staff of both the Newcastle and Sydney Conservatoriums of Music. As both a soloist and chamber musician, he has toured throughout Australia and performed at the Darwin and Central Coast International Guitar Festivals. Giuseppe has recorded works with fellow musicians for broadcast throughout Australia on ABC Classic FM through the 'Young Australia Series' and ‘Sunday Live” and has won many prizes in competitions. In June this year Giuseppe performed the much loved Concierto de Aranjuez by Joaquin Rodrigo with the Central Coast Symphony Orchestra and Orchestra Nova. In 2007 Giuseppe was given the opportunity to study in Italy, at the Conservatorio di Musica "Giuseppe Verdi" di Milano as part of a scholarship awarded to him by the Italian Government. He was also awarded an Australian Council for the Arts 'Buzz Grant' to undertake a three month mentorship program with guitar duo Maccari-Pugliese in Milano. In 2008 Giuseppe went on an Australian tour with the Alhambra Guitar Quartet led by leading French guitarist Rafael Andia. Giuseppe has performed charity work on behalf of Amnesty International, Father Chris Riley’s Youth-off-the- Streets, War Child Aid, the Young Endeavour Youth Scheme and the National Breast Cancer Foundation. * The Chalet is fully licenced with a selection of beers & local wines.
