RegistryFinder.com is an online search engine for the gift-giver. Designed to streamline the search for finding any gift registry, this website allows gift givers to search for a wedding, baby, or any other type of registry through its intuitive search engine.

What makes RegistryFinder.com different from other registry services?Other registry services are designed for people registering for gifts, while RegistryFinder.com is a simple search engine designed for gift givers searching for a gift registry. The website provides this service for a shopper who needs to buy a gift, but does not know where the gift recipient is registered.

Target Demographic There are over 2,000,000 weddings each year in the United States. The average number of guests per wedding is estimated to be around 150. Ninety-three percent of couples register for wedding gifts and on average each engaged couple joins three registries.

Additionally, there are over 4,000,000 babies born each year in the United States. Due to the ease and convenience of online gift registries, there is also a growing trend toward creating gift registries for other life events such as graduations, birthdays, and major holidays.

The target market for RegistryFinder.com is women ages 25 to 65, with household incomes of 50K and higher who are purchasing a gift.

RegistryFinder.com History RegistryFinder.com was created to solve the problem of not knowing where someone is registered for a wedding, baby shower, or other event.

The idea for the company came about when the founder, Cheryl Seidel, received a wedding invitation from her friend’s son. While wanting to send a gift, the couple lived in another state and she had no idea what they wanted, or where they might be registered.

After researching stores in their area and checking registries of all of those stores, she finally found their gift registry, but thought to herself… There has to be an easier way! She couldn’t believe that a registry finder service was not available.

Knowing there were other busy people who could benefit from such a simple website, Cheryl took the opportunity to develop her own solution: RegistryFinder.com.

Since its official launch date on October 2, 2012, RegistryFinder.com has seen an exponential increase in website traffic.

Although still growing in the realm of social media, RegistryFinder.com is active on Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter, and Google+.

How RegistryFinder.com Works

1. Home PageThis is the page that is displayed when users first arrive at the home page: www.RegistryFinder.com.

2. Registry Match PageThe website runs a query based on the search information visitors enter and provides the user multiple matches corresponding to the search name they entered on the home page. The visitor will then select the correct match based upon date, location, and co-registrant.

3. Results PageThis page displays the retail stores where the selected registrant has created gift registries. From here, the visitor will be sent directly to the registry list for that individual within the retailer’s website.

About RegistryFinder.com CEOCheryl Seidel loves taking ideas and bringing them to life. Many times friends would ask Cheryl for advice on what to buy for a wedding, shower, or baby gift. When asked where they were registered, she almost always got the same response, “I don’t know,” “they told me but I forgot,” or “I can’t find that shower invitation.” Then, one day she received an invitation from her friend’s son. While wanting to send a gift, the couple lived in another state and she had no idea what they wanted, or where they might be registered.
