Between 7 a.m. and midnight on November 17, donations made to nonprofits through the Lexington Community Foundation website or hand-delivered to the Foundation’s office will be matched, allowing donors to grow their year-end gifts.BIG

WHY WE CREATED GIVE BIG LEXINGTON
To inspire generous giving to nonprofits who make our region a healthier more vital place to live
• Increase public awareness of the efforts, goals and needs of the many organizations and programs in this area;
• Provide opportunities for nonprofits to grow their giving and for donors to easily support the causes that mean most to them.

HOW GIVE BIG LEXINGTON WILL WORK
Donation match funds• The match will be a proportionate to the total
donated on November 17o Example: 3% of the total donations are to
Nonprofit X. Nonprofit X receives 3% of the matching funds.
To receive match funds, donations must be made:• Between 7 a.m. and midnight November 17 through your
nonprofit’s page on the Give BIG Lexington website;
or
• or delivered in person at the Lexington Community Foundation office – 607 N. Washington – during the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN A DONATION IS MADE?
A donation is made on your page of the Give BIG Lexington
website
Give BIG Lexington
donations are processed
through Razoo. There is a 2.9% processing fee for Give BIG donations
Organizations with independent
501c3 status will receive donations
and donor information directly from
Razoo. Disbursements will
be made on December 10.
Organizations associated as an affiliate of the Lexington Community
Foundation (LCF) will have their donations pass
through LCF. LCF will disburse donations and
donor information after December 10.
The overall match portion
for your organization
will be calculated and sent by LCF by December 31.
Donations and your match funds will be sent by LCF by December 31.

HOW DO I KNOW IF MY ORGANIZATION HAS RECEIVED A DONATION ON NOVEMBER 17?
The Give BIG Lexington website will operate in real time on November 17. You will be able to see the totals given to any cause on that day.
