  GIVING YOUR OPINION 1. IN MY OPINION In my opinion, it's a very sound investment. 2. IN MY VIEW Bob: You're as wrong as can be. / John: In my view, you are wrong. 3. TO MY MIND To my mind we have enough money to start building now. The professor made a comment about his appearance that, to his mind, was not appropriate. 4. IN MY BOOK (INFORMAL) She's never lied to me, and in my boo k that counts for a l ot. 5. IF YOU ASK ME (INFORMAL) If you ask me, people should go on a training course before they become parents. If you ask me, she doesn’t really want the job. 6. AS I SEE IT Tom: This matter is not as bad as some would make it out to be. Alice: Yes. This whole affair has been overblown, as I see it. 7. IN MY ESTIMATION In my estimation a lot of other banks are going to have the same problem. That guy writes mysteries that, f or my money, are a million times bet ter than anyone else's. 12. THE WAY I SEE IT / AS I SEE IT Lack of money is the main proble m, as I see it (= in my opini on). The way I see it, you have t hree main problems. 13. FROM MY PERSPECTIVE Mary: What do you think of all this? Tom: From my perspective, it is just terrible. That guy writes mysteries that, f or my money, are a million times bet ter than anyone else's. 14. TO MY WAY OF THINKING. This isn't satisfactory to my way of thinking. To my way of thinking, this is the perfect kind of vacation.
