Second Announcement and Call for Papers Background The IIR’s Gustav Lorentzen conferences are acclaimed as the leading cutting-edge series of events covering all natural refrigerants. These events enable participants to keep abreast of progress and trends in this field. The IIR’s focus on the importance of the exchange of knowledge in the field of refrigerants is reflected in the Gustav Lorentzen conference. The replacement of CFC, HCFC and HFC refrigerants with natural refrigerants is now taking place to increasing extent within the refrigeration, air-conditioning and heat-pump industry, but requires national and international strategy and knowledge exchange. Join world leaders in the field to discuss the latest research results and advances related to the use of natural refrigerants in different types of systems and application areas. Plenary Topics 1. The state of the art of refrigerants nowadays and the future; 2. Analysis of ammonia incidents recently happened in China; 3. Safety considerations for natural refrigerants; 4. Progress in international standards of refrigerants. Important Dates Abstract due: April 30, 2014 Abstract acceptance: May 15, 2014 Full-length paper due: June 30, 2014 Paper acceptance: July 20, 2014 Early registration due: August 10, 2014 Preliminary Program Sunday, August 31 Registration Welcome reception Monday, September 1 Plenary 1-4 Parallel Sessions Conference dinner Tuesday, September 2 Parallel Sessions Parallel Sessions Conference close/reception Conference Language The official language used in the conference will be English.
