Cutting ToolsGleason has over one hundred years of experience in the design and manufacture of cutting tools for both spiral bevel andstraight bevel gear applications. Gleason also offers blade resharpening services inseveral locations around the world. Both coated and uncoated cutter blades and toolsare available. Cutter head reconditioning services are also provided.
Gleason has cutter and tool manufacturingfacilities in the United States, Europe, China, and India.
Workholding SolutionsGleason designs and manufactures a complete line of workholding equipmentfor bevel gear cutting and grindingapplications. Designs are both mechanicaland hydraulic and include quick changefeatures for both Gleason and non-Gleasonspindles. Tapered and/or ball sleeve designs ensure repeatability of both axial and radial runout. Mechanical safety features are also designed into the equipment to prevent over-travel.
Gleason-developed workholding equipmentincludes TANLINE® and VERS-GRIP®
pinion chucks, X-PANDISK® and UNI-SPAND® gear arbors, and specially designed pitchline chucks for non-Gleasonapplications.
In addition to design and manufacture of workholding equipment Gleason also offers application engineering services,development programs, hands-on seminars, gage certification, and repair programs.
